It can be shown that children who are educated within their local community not only achieve better results but also give back more to their community.
We support the view that children should be educated within their community and should not have to travel to be educated. Being educated within the community also means that parents do not have to meet the cost of transporting their children on buses or via private taxis.
Staying within the community and learning with others from the community instills a sense of pride for not only the children but for the parents in the community too!
In this regard the ETG has developed a vision for four new schools across the three parishes. This will involve the construction of a new primary and nursery school within each of the parishes in addition to the construction of a new post-primary school to be located on a site within the three parishes as well.
